Leaving for Zambia

It’s that time again! We are all packed and heading back to Zambia. We leave on Wednesday the 19th. It has been a wonderful time as we visited with our partnering churches and friends in ministry. We were mostly in Florida this time. A good number of work teams from the USA will be coming over this year too! That is always a blessing for us to work side by side with like-minded hearts and spirits in Zambia.

Sandy and I have enjoyed spending time with family too. Little Haylee, our newest granddaughter, is at that special age of excitement every time she sees Papa & Mama. This last week family and friends have come to spend a little time with us before leaving. Sandy’s mom, Sheila, came this weekend to help pack the luggage. It’s always hard to say goodbye.

Everything in Zambia with the New Life Center ministries have continued to do well while we have been away. Charles Mulemena, NLC Director, and the rest of the staff have done an outstanding job. However, once we’re back, there will be a number of ministry concerns and preparation for the year to be made.

April 22nd through May 10th are dates we need you to pray about. Those are the dates for the annual Holy Spirit Encounter and the Lusaka Crusade. Evangelist Blake Lorenz will be coming with a team and a team from St. Andrews UMC, Brandon, FL will also be with us at the same time. There will be hundreds of peoples lives changed from hearing the good news of Jesus Christ. Many will be set free from the bondages of life and saved in the name of Jesus. Even the team members themselves will be touched and encouraged in many ways. The St. Andrew’s team will also be dedicating their new Zambian Sister Church! That too is always a special time!

Thank you one and all for those that have hosted us, fed us, listened to the message Christ has put on our hearts and just enjoyed the time of fellowship together. We appreciate all of you and thank you for your continued interest, prayers and support. We ARE making a difference, together, in the lives of many of the people in Zambia and around the world. We pray that God continues to bless each of you greatly in this year of 2014.

Faithfully serving,

Rev. Delbert and Sandy Groves
